We haven't had a 32 bit sever in years, and its been a long time since I've had a 32bit client/development machine.  I do a lot of data manipulation and reporting of data that can get large and am constantly running into "out of memory" errors.  Seems to me that a 64bit version of VS would be a good thing.

You don't need a 64-bit version. You are confusing VS with the programs you create using it. The "out of memory" errors you get from the data manipulation and reporting of data is not from VS, it is from the programs you build using VS.
