I have created a table with about 7 columns to replicate a Kanban board.  In each of those columns, I have added a List Webpart and I'm pulling in data from a master list that has a number of different views. For each column, I have a different view display for the list.  My users open an item that is being displayed in the column and can edit and move to a different column if needed, etc.

I have a problem where the items on the list are showing up in multiple views in different webparts.  When I check the list, there is truly one item as there should be but for some reason it's showing up a couple of times in different views, even though, it's tagged to only show in one of the views.

I cannot replicate on demand or figure out what is causing.  Anyone else experience this and have a solution?

Hi,

This is a normal phenomenon. Because your views are all from one list. When you create a new item for the list, no matter you are in which view, this item should appear. Unless you set different filters for each views.

You can use filter function to limit the item display in other view. However, you need to specify the naming rules in each view.

For example, you have 7 columns(column A,column  B, column C.. column G) and in each column there is a view(view A, view B...View G) display for the list. Make sure the title of items created in view A are like "view A 1" or "item 1 in view A".

Then go to the list and edit view A and setup filter like below:

Setup filter for each view like above step.

Then when you create a new item in View B, you should name the item as "View B item 23". Then this item will only display in view B.
