I have Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 (Update 5) on my laptop and just found it is a trial version and it will expire in couple of days! Our company has bought the license for VS 2013 Professional, thus I need to downgrade my Ultimate to Professional one. Is there any way to do it without uninstall and installing VS 2013 again?

Hi Karimian,

As far as I know, we can only completely remove the installed VS ultimate 2013 and install the VS professional 2013. Please have a try with the following to uninstall the VS ultimate 2013:

1. Run the forcibly uninstall command like: vs_ultimate.exe /uninstall /force, for the detail information, please check: Removing Visual Studio components left behind after an uninstall
2. Reboot the computer and start to run the VS professional 2013 installer as administrator to install
3. If the installation failed, please have a try with the Visual Studio Uninstaller, this tool is designed to clean up and delete Preview, RC and final releases of Visual Studio 2013 and Visual Studio 2015, as well as early previews of Visual Studio 2017.
4. After that, try to install the VS professional 2013 again
