Hello,
I just realized that all desktop apps have been removed in the Windows 10 app store without notice. Are there any plans to bring them back? We are using Adobe Air to develop desktop applications and unless Microsoft and Adobe announce they are going to give Universal App support to Air, desktop apps are our only chance to get into the Windows store. Any official statement about this? Thanks

desktop app listings will not be supported on the Store for Windows 10. See: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/dn374776(v=vs.85).aspx
Desktop application listings are not a part of the Windows 10 Dev Center and Windows 10 Store experiences. Existing Desktop application listings will not be discoverable in the Windows Store on Windows 10, but will remain available for Windows 8 and 8.1 users.

Possible substitute will be publishing of Win32 applications as Store apps (Windows Bridge for Classic Windows apps, aka project "Centennial") in the future. Meanwhile you can develop a regular modern app which has some value for users and links to a website where they can download your desktop application.
