Hello everyone and some MSFT guys here,
I have highly interested in the new Accessory App API on Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, with those APIs, developers can make more cool feature on Windows Phone by receiving notifications from phone. However, it seems the APIs cannot be accessed by third-party developer although it was a public namespace in the new SDK.
It's a bad news to all the developers, why not just make this feature to be controlled (on/off) by the users to prevent malicious apps and open these APIs to all the third-party developers.
Both Android and iOS have these abilities even for third-party developers, hope we can access to those Accessory App API soon... also the lock-screen API?
