The SpeechSynthesizer class for windows phone 8.0 had BookmarkReached event which was raised when SpeechSynthesizer encountered a bookmark.

But the new SpeechSynthesizer class for windows phone 8.1 has no such event. And my app is really dependent on that event.

Is there any other API or workaround?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1 still has BookmarkReached event, so you can use that. But if you are creating using Windows Phone Runtime API then it is not possible and you may have to find some other workaround.
