So, I'm taking a course on Udemy, to learn C# coding. There's a process the course takes me to download Visual , which I did, and I installed with no issue. When I'm following the course to open up a new project in Visual, it prompts me to go to templates, selecting Windows, than selecting, Console Application. Problem is, on the video guide. It says just Windows, when mine says Windows Universal or Windows Classical Desktop, I have no option that just says Windows to click. So when I go to choose Console Application , under Windows Classical Desktop, Console Application says (.NET Framework) next to it, which in the video, there's nothing in ( ) next to it, it just says Console Application. 

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, did I install the wrong version or something?

Likely the video is using an old version of Visual Studio.

Using Visual Studio 2017, you need to use Windows Classic Desktop, Console App (.NET Framework).

The "Windows Classic Desktop" is to differentiate from "Windows Universal", because "Windows Classic" means Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 using "classic" technologies such as Win32, COM, .NET, etc. while "Windows Universal" means Windows 10 (despite the "universal" word), XBox, etc.

The "(.NET Framework)" part is to differentiate from "(.NET Core"), which is also .NET, but a different thing (open-source, cross-platform, etc.)
