Very odd behaviour.  After inserting a PDF object into a docx file (and then deleting it), the SAVE icon at the top left then displays the OPEN dialog, with the File Type box defaulting to PDF.  Any comments welcome.

Also, I only got the first page of the PDF file in the Word document.  Can you get all pages?

I'm not clear about your first question regarding the Open dialog but to answer your second question ... a PDF file is treated like an image file where each page is a separate image.  Thus you get only the "first image" when you insert the object.  With this said, even though Word treats the PDF similar to an image object you cannot insert them on a PC as a Picture file, that only works on a Mac.
