I have created a SharePoint Web page which requires checking in and out and publishing. On this page I have several web parts added using custom lists I have created.
I noticed that when the list webpart which is being filtered, is on "Database View", the "get filter" connection pop up window URL increases. This means that the more filters I create on the page, the larger the URL gets. After a few
filters have been added, the URL maxes pass 2000 characters and the browser returns a HTTP 400 error, disabling the option to create any new filters. This means some of my list webparts have the correct filter applied, whereas the remaining list webparts display
all the records unfiltered.
When applying the same logic to a list web part in "Standard View", the URL remains the same size and does not increase with the number of filters added. Therefore it is impossible to have a web page displayed in "Database View" with multiple filters on the page.
Has anyone encountered this? Does Microsoft intend to fix this bug?
