I was moving a doc library from SP2010 to SP2013. I opened both libraries with the 'Open with Explorer' option and drag dropped the content.

However my source library contains 795 items, but destination library only has 783. What caused the 12 items discrepancy? Unpublished minor draft?

For the failed files, did you check whether the file type are blocked only in destination SP2013, or whether the file URL is too long after moving in destination?
