Some time ago I have created an application with VC2003 and MFC which uses CHtmlView (Internet Exporer ActiveX) for displaying content and SQLite for data storage. The application has been rolled out onto thousands of machine without any problems.

Yesterday I received a problem from a customer: When he starts the application, he receives a BEX error in msimtf.dll:

Currently I am totally lost and I have no idea where to start. I just know that my application does not deal with msimtf.dll at all. The system is a 64 Bit W2k8 R2 SP1 machine.

Can anyone of you experienced developers give me a valuable hint where to start, what could be a potential problem?
