Hello Team - We are planning to have custom Managed property (Search schema) in SharePoint2016 Hybrid environment which should surface up the on-line as well as the on-prem content on the ONE search result page.

Just want to confirm if this is possible. If It is possible, where do we provision the Managed property, online or onprem? I believe it has to be online. right?

Where did you store the search result page?

If the search result page is in the SharePoint online, then you should create the custom managed property in SharePoint online and then map the crawled property in SharePoint online and on-premise.
