I have a web part (using JavaScript) on my main Intranet page that indicated sites that the user is following.

This WAS working great. However, since the new Modern interface was released, this JavaScript is not showing Groups/Teams that my users are following. It DOES show communication sites they are following. But when I create a Team site (through ADMIN), these are not showing up. I believe it is because the template has been changed to Group#0 instead of STS#0. But I'm not completely sure.

Does anybody have an insight on how I can get this web part to include Microsoft Team Sites? My users have grown accustom to going to our Intranet Portal page to get to their sites.
