Hi,

I want to show a message in the app bar of wp8 app i.e on the top of the phone screen where there are various icons like battery, signal etc.

I tried putting a message there but it didnt showed up in emulator.

You cannot place a message in the System Tray (that's how it's called, the App Bar is the one on the lowest part of the app).

What you could do is to hide the System Tray and place for example a TextBlock there.
