How do I stop a meeting request being added to the sent items folder in outlook using visual basic?

I've not used the .save property of the Outlook.Application object, but from what I can gather unless you specify .save it wont save to the sent items folder... only it does.

Hello Iain,

soory to ask - but it's not clear for me where is the Problem?
If you crete a meetingrequest and save it it's not going into the sent items folder until you call send or press the send Button.

If you modify an existing appointement with recipients, and you save this item by clicking the save button - you will be asked if you dont want to send an update or
save and send an update to the attendees.

If you call save from sourcecode - the same happens -> a MessageBox pops up that asks you to save and send or cancel.

What exactly is the workflow you do and what to expect.
