In my project we are using document Templates. There are two templates template-1 is bind with ContentType-1 and Template-2 is bind with ContentType-2. Here we are using ContentTypeHub for contentTypes.

All sitecollections are same structure... there is no change in the structure... [same group name, same libaryname and associated with same contenttype]

We are keeping document template in docLibrary in siteColelction-1, which is accessable for all users [Note: it is not anonymous site]

we are not allowing users to select the contenttype, in document edit property form.

我们建议用户，从SiteCollection-1获取文档模板并使用它.

We suggested users, get the Document Template from SiteCollection-1 and use it .

When they are uploading a document in sitecollection-1, by default it is binding with relevant contenttype. [eg: Template-1 Documents are binding with ContentType-1. Template-2 Documents are binding with ContentType-2]. So it is working perfectly in Same sitecollection.

But, the thing is When they are uploading a document in different sitecollection [Sitecollection-2 or sitecollection-3], it is not  binding with relevant contenttype, instead of that it is binding with default contentype [our default contentype is contentype-1].

Now, he is uploading that template-2 document in sitecollection-2 in library . we are expecting it should be bind with contenttype-2, but here our assumption is wrong it is take default contenttype... it is not binding with relevant contenttype].

Please help us how to resolve this... what is a solution for this.

Note: we are having 4 kind of templates which is associated with different contentype.

we are having around 20 sitecollection. so, It is very hard to maintain the templates in each sitecolelction.

Where did you upload the template to the relevant content type? Whether you upload the template to the site content type in Content Type Hub site?

Per my test, I create a content type hub site and create two site content types and upload the templates in the advanced settings in edit content type page.

Then I publish these two content types and add to the relevant libraries in two different site collections.

I create a document with the ContentType1 template1 in site collection 1, save it in the local location, and upload it into a library in another site collection. Then the new upload document is assigned ContentType1 which is not the default content type correctly.
