My phone developing background is with WP7 and more recently with Android.  I haven't gotten into WP8 yet.

I have a very cool app in Android that is started by an SMS message.  It does some work and then sends the results out via another SMS message back to the sender.

Can I do this in WP8?  I'm asking because I would like to port the app to wp8.

There is no way to do this on WP8. The API doesn't allow this kind of behaviour.
