I am looking for a cheap/free easy to use tool to monitor how much network traffic is being generated by each work station.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can use Network Monitor to capture traffic and then run the TopUsers expert from http://NMExperts.codeplex.com to see how much traffic each work station is generating. However this does mean you have to get a capture from a central location on your network, like from the switch.
