Can somebody please explain why my new app has been placed very far down on the list of new apps in the marketplace? There are apps which are clearly much older remaining on top of the New list, whereas mine has been placed so far down that it practically has zero visibility. Some of the apps at the top end of the New list seem to remain there for a long time and not all of them are even professional, fully functional apps so it's a mystery as to the justification for the marketplace behaving like this?

Good question, and one asked many many times. A lot of dev's have been asking for a better system to promote and get their apps out there.

One thing to note on that list is (I believe) is it's called "New + Rising". However it is that the apps are listed, don't forget that "Rising" Apps may take precedence. Atleast that's been my interpretation having watched the list for a while.
