We want to display image slide with Description filed data.

In my SharePoint Picture library settings we selected "Title and Description below image" option shown below.

The picture library not displays Description field data in slide but it displays Comments field data.

What is the "comments filed" in your library? A custom column you created in the library? Make sure if the values of your Comments field and Description field are same.

I have done a test in my environment but cannot reproduce your issue. When I select "Title and Description below image" option, the description display normally even though i select different "Library View".

For your issue, you can create a new picture library and add a new web part then select to display the new picture library. Compare the results. Also you can test in another site collection.
