You could easily switch between Blend and Visual Studio while you're working on a project. You can even have the same project file open in both Blend and Visual Studio at the same time, on the same computer. When you save a change to a file in one tool and then switch to the other tool, you simply reload the file to refresh your view of the project.

If you add new files to your project while you are working in Visual Studio, you must save the project using Save All (Ctrl+Shift+S), or build and run the app before switching back to Blend.
