I am very new to Azure. I have created a new VM and has not been able to RDP into it. When I click on connect, it shows me option to download RDP file with default port 3389, which i changed to 80 before downloding RDP connection file. When i try to connect on RDP, it would not let me connect. When i tried to connect, it did show me warning that inbound traffic to the public ip may be blocked. I googled and found out that I need to add an Inbound rule to supersede 'imbound port rule - DenyAllInBound' so i did that by creating a new inbound port rule with source and destination as ANY, source port range as *, destination port range to be 80 and priority to be 1000. so basically inspite of this inbound rule, it shows same error when trying to RDP with port 80 into the IP shows for the VM.

I tried to run diagnostics using IP flow verify tool and it shows that access at port 80 in incoming connection is allowed for local IP.

Have you tried to RDP on port 3389? That is the default port for RDP, which I expect your VM is listening on.
