Hi,  I need to reduce the amount of backup data stored in Azure backups of VM Backups.

以前，我曾经为每个VM存储8天的备份.  

Previously I used to store 8 days of backups for each VM.   

我已将每日备份策略更新为仅保留2天的备份.尽管已实施了更新的政策，它仍然保留最新的8个备份.

I have updated the daily backup policy to retain only 2 days of backups.  Although the updated policy has been implemented,  its still keeping the latest 8 backups.

Changing the backup retention will not delete old backups where retention was valid at the time of the backup created. You need to either wait 8 days for them to age out or manually delete these backups.
