I used this link to forward Job logs and streams from Automation accounts to Log Analytics https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/automation/automation-manage-send-joblogs-log-analytics  and also enabled diagnostic settings for Azure Analysis Service. Log Analytics now displays these logs and metrics when I query them using Log Analytics query window. But the issue I see now is AzureDiagnostics are upto date and it returns results records when I query in Log Analytics where as AzureMetrics are not upto date they are a day old. Its seems AzureMetrics log shipping from Azure Analysis service to Log Analytics is slow. Why is this? I tried researching this online but couldn't able to find any answers. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!! Please let me know if further details are needed.

I am not sure what you mean they are not up to date. By default if you run a query with just the table:

AzureMetrics

You will get the results not ordered by TimeGenerated field. So the results you get will be random at time. Either configure the Logs view to show always results sorted by TimeGenerated or in your query add sorting. Keep in mind that Azure Metrics will come of the interval they are generated as well. So for the specific service you have to look at what interval metrics are generated.
