I require a simple scheme change on a lightswitch Sharepoint HTML app so need to republish the app inclusive of the database.  However I had previously created views directly in the Azure database for the purposes of BI reporting in Excel services.

Now when I go to publish LIghtswitch does not recognise these views and will not publish the app and it seems the only way forward is to delete them?

You could easily script off the views, delete them and script them back in afterwards.

You could link the LightSwitch project to a SQL Database Project and add the view scripts as post deployment scripts. That way you localdb dev database would be kept in step.

If it gets too complicated you can switch to manual deployment, in which case schema comparison features and tools are your friend.
