hi every one i have a crystal report in asp.net application(vs2008) and i want the user to be able to set the columns order  For example, if I have three columns A, B, C then I want some functionality so that user can view these as B, A, C or in other formates as per his preference. Basically I dont want to create report layout at design time, the report layout should be created dynamically

any help will be great.

You can try SQL server reports i.e an rdl file. It's basic format is XML. you can change the column order in the xml file and generate the reports on the fly.
