I have tried running these commands in Azure CLI Classic to reset the username and password. Seems to execute without errors but still getting "access denied" when I try to log in. I am very sure I entered the username and password correctly. When I viewed the status of the Microsoft.OSTCExtensions extension in the portal, it shows "not ready". When I query the status in the CLI, it says enabled. Not sure if that is the issue? Do I need to restart the VM?

You could try restarting the VM but generally when I see an Access Denied error it is due to a Firewall setting in the VM.

In the portal, go to the Reset Password section and select Reset Configuration Only
