I have a thomson TG587v7 Router (new) but th edisc is not compatable with windows 7. When I connect to the Ethernet muy computer doesn't even see the Router so I cannot go on to the Thomson page to set it up.

Is there something in my security set up that prevents my computer from seeing the Router?

I cannot see it even through Add devices and printers.

The Router light display was as follows
Power on - constant
Ethernet Flashing
Wireless off
Broadband constant
Internet off
ipconfig Gateway is 192.168.1.254
Local Area Network is not shaded but has a Red X
Device Manager shows Ethernet working
Adding Hardware function does not see my Router

Looks as if my computer doesn't see the computer
