do i need to install IIS for this problem....?giv me the solution please..may be iis is not installed in my local system only because of that im not able to run in web browser is it?....


in login page im giving the username in textbox1 and in further webpages this user name is defaultly been thrown by giving Session["user"] = TextBox1.Text; in page_load funtion and in other web pages for the username textboxes in each web page i gave as if (Convert.ToString(Session["user"]) != "guest" && Convert.ToString(Session["user"]) != null) { txtEmail.Text = Convert.ToString(Session["user"]); txtEmail.Enabled = true; } i got the solution too. i had run in the local system and the username is default had thrown in other webpages but it is not running in web browser...that is my problem...please help me

Freind, Problem is still not very clear, have you tried to show the seesion value in alert window as a part of debugging that what value you are getting? from here we are not very much sure that there is a problem with your IIS still you can reset your IIS by :

To restart IIS using the IISReset command-line utility
1. From the Start menu, click Run.

2. In the Open box, type cmd, and click OK.

3. At the command prompt, type iisreset /noforce computername, and press ENTER.

4. IIS attempts to stop all services before restarting. The IISReset command-line utility waits up to one minute for all services to stop. If the services cannot be stopped within one minute, all IIS services are terminated, and IIS restarts.
