I have just upgraded my Windows Vista to Windows 7.  It seems to me that one vendor supplied Vista device driver is not compatible with Windows 7.  I have tried a clean install before where I found the device worked properly using microsoft supplied generic Windows 7 driver.  However, now I cannot change the driver because the tag stated with the vendor supplied driver is totally fit with the device.  I cannot use the generic Windows 7 driver.  Is there a way to ignore the vendor's driver?
