I am working on custom search on SharePoint Online. I created External Content Source an SQL connection with Azure SQL in SharePoint Online web site. Then I provided required permission and I am able to create external list and able to browse list. I created Profile page in SharePoint Admin.

I want to get search result from Azure SQL.

I am not getting crawled properties in Search under SharePoint Admin section to map them with managed properties. Crawled properties should appear under Business Data Category, but they are not appearing.

SharePoint Online doesn’t support crawling external data.

If you want to search them in SharePoint online, I suggest you import the data to your site.
