Since last night, I have not been able to open certain files from my web-based email accounts, nor save them onto my desktop (running on Vista Home). These files are usually Word docs and PDFs. Even when it seems to have been saved (ie. it shows up in Recent Documents), the system will go into Browse mode and then not be able to find it in the folder I saved it in, nor anywhere else on my desktop. The problem doesn't seem to exist with jpg files, ONLY Word Docs and PDFs that I try to download from my web-based email accounts (gmail, yahoo, hotmail).

I have also tried the following: Instead of saving onto my desktop, to save it onto a thumb drive, but also to no avail.
