If you think about this as though you're setting up a test, it's really the same question now: How you pose the question to them in order that the program can figure out whether or not their answer is correct.

In that, a multiple-choice test is the best way and I suspect that's what you'll end up with here. Some alteration of a multiple-choice "if this, then that" sort of thing.
