We have a production enviroment, with health and usage database there was an issue over the christmas break that filled up our logs and it grew greatly. This has now been resolved. However in this i noticed that our logs dont seem to be automatically purged. i have run Get-SPUsageDefinition and tried different configurations and reduced even down to a day for all items but it still isnt purging. I've checked the two timer jobs  usage data import and porcessing and they are successfully running too

You can just create a new usage database and attach it to your Usage Service App.
