I have been woring with this problem for 3 months now and it is really impacting my work. I have read every post on all forums regrading this issue and have used all of them.  In some cases the solution works in some cases it does not work.  I finally stabilized VS 2010 for one project and then yesterday I needed to fix a bug in another project found I had the same problem.  I promptly applied all the work arounds with no joy. I ask that you read the entire post before replying I have already done everything in the prior posts.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled VS2010 5 times enough is enough!

In reading the posts I find that this is not an isolated problem it seems to be a problem for many development groups. So with that said it could be that my envrionment is causing the problem. Please do a search using the title of my question there is 1 thread and it was archived with no answer.  Check out the last entry and this persons environment is like mine; but he never got a reply.

Our web sites were originally designed and created in the year 2001 using another editor. We only began using Visual Studio when we merged with another company in 2010 so we have never used VS projects.  In fact only recently did I find out about using keyword "CodePage" instead of "src".

We used to do our development directly on the server; but recently my manager decided we should use VM.  Using VS2010 directly on the server was never a problem; but now using the VM installed on the same server we are running into this problem.

Is it possible that the old install of VS2010 directly on the server is causing a side affect with the VM installs?  I have not reinstalled VS2010 SP1 because everytime I installed it VS2010 would become unstable again.

I thought that installing VS2010 Express would solve my problem; but it did not because intellisense does not work for any aspx or cs page at all.
