I am developing a web application through which I want to connect to my customers SharePoint sites and fetch data from it. I am unable to figure out which APIs I should use and also how to get auth tokens to access REST APIs. Please guide me. Thanks in advance.

For SharePoint online, there are 2 recommended methods for accessing data via REST.  You can create a SharePoint add-in, or you can create a Azure AD app to request a secure token.
