In the azure portal, I cannot find when my web app was last deployed. I have 2 deployment slots, production and staging. I always deploy to staging and then I swap between Staging and Production.

Sometimes I might forget if i did the swap or not. Or more recently i am getting error messages saying that the swap failed, but actually i know that the swap did not fail because i can see the new features in production.

Previously, I used to be able to see in the portal what date and time the last publish happened. So then I can check the publish date of what is in production and what is in staging. Using this date I know which version is in production or not at that moment in time. It used to exist in the portal a field that had the date and time of last publish, and i used it all the time. This field has now disappeared. I hear some people saying i should search the activity log. I have tried this but you are limited to 3 months, so if it could take me a long time to find the answer if i have no idea when the last publish was.

If you’re referring to and configured continuous deployment, you could find the publish date and time from the Deployment Center. See if this helps or let us know if you are looking for something else.

Additionally, yes, using the Activity Log, you can determine the ‘what, who, and when’ for any write operations (PUT, POST, DELETE) taken on the resources in your subscription. Activity logs are retained for 90 days. You can query for any range of dates, as long as the starting date is not more than 90 days in the past.
