We have a display template that display's results in a display template.  When the user types in a value in the search box the results display as expected.  If the user clicks on a refiner that is lower on the left hand panel that seems to override the search box term.  If the user clicks on the NAME (title) property first it works as expected.

Is there a way to change the query so that when any refiner is clicked that the contents of the search box are always searched first?
