Reading this extension documentation, I can see you can export to Word tables and:

I can't find a way to do this for an Excel table. I have an Excel table with its column names; when exporting, this extension writes column names also (this time in row # 2 in the Excel table).

Does anybody has been in this situation before? Can I export to Excel tables in a similar fashion as is doable for Word tables?

As far as I know , you cannot change the column name in Excel.

The reason why you can change the column name in Word is that it is a grid.
