I need to populate a drop down list from an existing table. The existing table is a lookup table for another table, however this is a legacy database and we are having issues with getting the relationships to work to allow Lightswitch to create the drop down control. Is there a way I can take the results of the query and populate the drop down with the values?

No you can't do that in Auto Complete Box. It need to be bound to another entity by relationship or you can populate data with Choise List by adding Data Item and for Screen property define choises for the property.
