Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I've been searching for three days and can't find an answer. I have a new Dell Studio XPS machine, Windows 7 Home 64-bit, fresh downloads of IE8 and Visual Studio Express 2008 and 2010 Beta 2. I start a new website and just add a simple label, no code at all. When I hit F5 or CTRL-F5, IE8 starts, and hangs waiting for a page to load. I need to stop IE8 via the task manager when the hand occurs. The page will show if I use the VS internal browser. It works fine if I use Firefox. What needs to be changed to get IE8 to work*

Thanks for posting issue here (although it is about IE). I'm sorry that you have bad experience with Microsoft products.

Does the hang issue occur for the first time or regularly?
There are several ways to troubleshoot the issue including "install the latest updates" and "check for solutions to the problem". Please refer to the following page for more information: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-to-do-if-Internet-Explorer-stops-responding

In case that there are some Add-ons which damaged or incompatible with IE8, please try to run IE in "No Add-Ons" mode and then use Manage Add-Ons tool to determine which Add-on is the cause. Here is an article talking about this issue with IE8: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/969938
