How can I select another shape after adding a new connector in a DSL diagram?

I have a foreign key domain property with a change rule. In this change rule, I create a new connector to another shape. After creating the new connector its IsActive property is true. So it is selected. But I want the domain property which i changed to be selected.

Where do I have to call such a method. If I call it after my transaction.Commit() in the change rule, the new connector is still selected. So, this means the selection is made in some code after my change rule.
