I am currently working on a school project built with .Net Core 2.1. The application, server and database are deployed in Azure. When I deployed my services I used my free subscription instead of my student license my school gave me. Now that my free subscription is deactivated, I can't edit certain settings in the Azure portal. When I try changing the subscription of my resource group to the student subscription, I get the following error:

"The subscription 'MYSUBSCRIPTION' is disabled and therefore marked as read only. You cannot perform any write actions on this subscription until it is re-enabled."

Do I first need to activate the old subscription before I can transfer, and does this mean i have to pay for it?
