I'm trying to install Visual Studio 2005. From the original DVD.

But it always aborts with error _15780_RTL_x86_enu_NETCF_v2.0.cab File Missing

Same DVD has worked on my previous PC.

Tried different copy of the DVD with same result.

Copied the DVD to PC and tried install from there, same.

 

The  file is definately not on the disc.

Need help urgently to get this installed on the new PC.

 

PC is Dell Optiplex 740 with Windows XP Professional

It's been a while since you posted this, but I am having the same issue. I've tried uninstalling Framework 2.0 (issue) but that didn't help.

I am hoping someone else reads this and knows where to get that cab file so that we can add it to the install source location.
