I'm facing issues with my full text queries on Azure SQL Database. Table contains <15k rows and locally queries are executed with a blink of an eye (less than 1second), whereas on our test environment it takes between 3-6 times longer. Is there any way to investigate whether it is something related to azure infrastructure? Currently our database maximally utilizes 50% of resources that we have in our current plan. You are comparing your on-premises environment performance with Azure SQL Database performance, but what is the tier of your Azure SQL Database?

Have you considered using Azure Search instead of Full-Text Search?
