Column data is not updating on SharePoint library.

We have created columns with Single line, drop down and multiple choice options and after uploading the documents to library and start tagging the files, the tags does not stick. after save some columns does not like to update.

4. While researching on the issue, i found a solution that says to remove the xml data from the file properties. After doing it and saving the file. Then uploading the file to library, the column data worked like a charm.

removing column data can be easy for say set of 10 or 20 files, but we have about 600+ files.
