I'm running a tracking sharepoint site to allow several users to input information on yearly projects. Funds have to be tracked for a specific year. Once the fiscal year transitions, new projects are added to the site in a file app within sharepoint and then tracked by that year and at various times, data is input to the file. A new page is created for each fiscal year, with portions of file app columns placed in differing areas on the main page. How can I copy the data file and assign the new data file to the new page without having to re-create the column info every year?  I've been playing around but so far, I've managed to copy and re-name a file, however, when I assign it to the new page, it has all the same data as the file for the previous year and when I attempt to add or delete info, it adds and deletes info for the new year page as well as the previous year page.  How do I break that link?

From my side, I would suggest you can better create serval list or library to restore your data for fiscal into the list, also you can save the data file to library, it will make user input and manage data more easily.
