I have been tasked to create a sign-up list for a volunteer event that has a max of 31 spots.  Is there a way I can create this and have a message to the user pop & say, event is full?

The first thing I learned about InfoPath was that the ability to Pop-Up an Alert was deprecated at some point. (So, even if it IS available in your version, moving forward, it won't be.)  With that, I had to create my own non-popup alert by adding a section and then hiding and showing it based on some triggers. Complete hack, but it works. I suppose you could dedicate an entire view to just displaying that the event is full.

I have to imagine that there's a way to get a list count when the form opens, then reroute the user to the "Full Event" view.
