I am getting this weird behavioure inside our sharepoint office 365. now we have a username who is defined  as the Global Admin + he is defined as the site collection admin. so this user should have all the avilable permissions...

but when i went to the site collection >> site settings >> site permissions >> check Permissions. and i checked the permission for this user (who is defined as the global admin + site collection admin) , i got this short permission list only:-

while the list should be as follow (this is the list i usually got on other office 365 server, when i check the permission for a global admin user who is the site collection admin):-

so not sure why this user does not have all the permissions ??

Hi johnjohn123,

It lists all permissions because the user is not the member of the groups assigned the default permission levels. It will list all permissions that does not exists in the existing groups and their associated permission levels while checking the permissions for admins.

For example, the default permission level of Hierarchy Managers group is Manage Hierarchy. Manage Hierarchy permission level includes Manage permissions, View Web Analytics Data, Create Subsites, Manage Web Site, Manage Alerts, Enumerate Permissions and so on.

If the admin is not the member of Hierarchy Managers group in the site, it will list all permissions that does not exists in the existing permissions levels (the existing groups and their associated permission levels) while checking the permissions for admins.
