Have configured the access permissions for a file on my Sharepoint as "anyone with link can view".  Copy and paste link.  Link works fine if I go straight to it in a browser.  Also works if I embed it in Wordperfect or other products.  BUT, if I embed it in a word document and strl-click it, it INSISTS on authentication (user must enter e-mail address or phone).  CANNOT figure out why this happens or how to disable it.  Only Word (2016) is doing it.

Never mind.  Found out why.  Although Word takes the entire link when I enter it in the URL field, it is truncating the link when embedding it in the document.  It losses the file ref AND the auth token.  Not good, but that's why it's only a problem with Word 2016.
